We hope to play a
developmental role in our students' lives. Having
started martial arts as children, we have been fortunate
enough to have benefited first-hand from the solid foundations that
the martial arts lays for life. The practice
of martial arts promotes and stimulates a child's
social, physical, emotional and intellectual growth.
Our focus at KB Kids is to
ensure our students reap the benefits that we detail on
our benefits
page. Our
classes are not about teaching our students how to
bully others, or to become obnoxious little 'Sirs
and Madams'. Instead, a profound sense of
responsibility and self control is instilled into
each and every one of our Members.

Although we do teach self
defence moves, we emphasise conflict resolution and
avoidance through awareness. Training in our
school is a structured, purposeful past time. An
encouraging and friendly environment.
We
recommend all martial arts, as they can all engender a
feeling of self worth - provided you are training in the
right school, with a team of instructors that you
believe in. We recommend you look at all
disciplines and schools local to you; it is important that you believe in
the school that you choose for your child and invest your money in. The
happier you are with your child's Instructors, the
happier your child will be in their training. Before enrolling your child
in our school, it is important for you to consider your
motivation for looking for a martial arts school; as
well as your child's motivations. Sharing common
goals with your child will encourage your child to stick
with their training over a longer period of time.
At KB
Kids, we are qualified to teach Kung Fu,
Judo, Self Defence, Karate and Kickboxing. Although our
main focus is Kickboxing and Kung Fu.
Although we now have the
largest School for adults in Central London, we are
fully aware that the same lessons can not be taught to
our younger Members. Thus, the curriculum for our
Children's classes is very different to our adult
lessons. Ultimately, the techniques are the
same, but the way in which they are presented, takes into
account a child's pursuit of fun, their decreased levels
of attention span etc. That said, we refrain from
'talking down' to our younger Members , ensuring they
are respected for their own individual ability to
achieve, at whatever rate that may be, from day one.
Irrespective of the style of
martial arts being taught, we believe that all children
are entitled to age specific, high quality
teaching. Read more about our class levels here.
