It may sound a bit too good to be true, but martial arts classes can lead to a marked improvement in all these areas and so many more!  They can help control and channel energies - something for which many young people struggle to find a safe outlet nowadays.  Unlike other sports, martial arts is a lifestyle training focused on whole child development - mentally, physically and emotionally, providing your child with the tools they need to be a success in life!

At KB Kids, we endeavour to enable your child to create a balanced and healthy state of mind, body and spirit.   The Martial Arts teach many lessons, which include goal setting, persistence, and the value of a positive attitude.

Spiritual Benefits

> Increases self-confidence - the practice of martial arts is character building, it encourages students to stand up to peer group pressure.  

> Engenders a sense of achievement/a positive 'self image' - as each student moves to the next belt, a profound sense of accomplishment is experienced.  Setting targets and achieving them are highly beneficial throughout life.

> Improves attention span/ability to focus  

> Improves social skills and interaction with others

> Improves strength - although our students are reminded constantly NEVER to use their techniques outside of the dojo, not unless it is a last resort and they are in imminent danger - only then can effective but simple self defence techniques be used

> Improves co-ordination and stamina - our students are able to develop mental and physical co-ordination.

> Teaches avoidance and awareness, and self defence

Over time, our lessons can help improve behavioural issues.  Ultimately our classes are a safe, wholesome and rewarding extra curricular activity that occupies some of our students' free time.
